Seems to be working OK, but can anyone confirm a bug?

Start playing a youtube video, possibly with your connection throttled so that it plays faster than downloads, and then wait for the playing to reach the cutoff.  Then, use the time bar (red bar) and go back to an earlier part of the clip.  For me, it plays exactly 2 seconds (no sound), then freezes.

I am unable to reproduce this bug. And everything seems to be working fine for me.

Re: Flash Player 9 in Unstable

Works fine here, but I was expecting a nice gtk-menu when right-clicking. Same old ugly menu, remember reading something about gtk some time ago.

Re: Flash Player 9 in Unstable

it works good for me, alsa support, finally!

one thing though, under "about:plugins" it reports itself as "Shockwave Flash 7.0 r68" so sites requiring flash 8 or hire don't detect it correctly. the flash-right-click-menu correctly identifies it as flash 9.

edit: a complete uninstall followed by reinstall solved the problem.

Works nicely here, a/v sync on youtube seems to be better too.

Re: Flash Player 9 in Unstable

I guess it fixed some random crashes as well as displaying errors for me. (:

Re: Flash Player 9 in Unstable

Audio now syncs to video.  However, I have had some minor locking up issues, and some issues where the audio locks up (~250ms loop) while video continues playing.  Firefox eventually totally locked up after... can't remember.

Haven't tried it more than 2 minutes though, so I might find something more interesting later if I find a use for Flash.

Other trick:

1. quit firefox
2. delete ~/.mozilla/firefox/pluginreg.dat
3. restart firefox.

Now your flash plugins should be reported correctly.

Re: Flash Player 9 in Unstable

Is the gtk2 dependency added in v2 neccesary? For gflashplayer, i think so, but for the plugin i don't. Please, say me if i'm wrong.

thanks!

EDITED: No, making a ldd over the plugin shows the gtk2 dependency. Sorry

i just had the same problem while watching some videos on youtube. it worked fine for some but then the video kept playing while the sound was playing the same loop over and over again.
firefox wasn't locked completely, i just closed it and the loop was gone. everything worked fine after that, just like before.
