Installed Arch and pavucontrol only showed "Dummy Output". Researched a bit and saw on alsa wiki page that I have to install alsa-ucm-conf and sof-firmware. Installed both. Now speakers and headphone appears on pavucontrol, but still no sound.
lspci | grep Audio
gives the following output:
00:0e.0 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation Celeron/Pentium Silver Processor High Definition Audio (rev 06)
sudo dmesg | grep -iE "snd|sof|audio"
gives the following output:

Tried installing sof-firmware from sof project github repo, but it also didn't work.
Tried solutions in this post, but none worked.

As mentioned in that thread this currently doesn't work, if you want to actively help report a bug to the sof project.

Managed to fix it. I just changed my default sound card on ~/.asoundrc as the mic of the webcam is recognized as another sound card and is selected as default. Then, I ran all the commands listed here and the audio worked fine.
But I still have a loud crackling noise from speakers during login and if I boot with headphones connected, the audio outputs from the speakers and I have to disconnect and connect the headphones again.
