Unable to detect Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse

I am unable to detect a Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse - While I could detect it on a windows partition on the same device and my android phone can detect & pair fine, on my arch partition I cannot even find the device with bluetoothctl/bluez - using bluetooth headphones work fine on the same arch partition.

My bluetooth receiver is "8087:0026 Intel Corp. AX201 Bluetooth" (taken from lsusb).

Any help is appreciated! smile

Edit: If it helps, this specific mouse uses "bluetooth low energy", which may be a result of my problems, as other paired bluetooth devices on my computer have all been standard bluetooth devices.

Re: Unable to detect Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse

I have seen the bluetooth wiki before & attempted to complete those steps before, but the issue is that I cannot even see the device on linux in the first place to change the key, stopping me from pairing in the first place. As for the other link, I have already disabled hibernation/fast startup on both partitions & it does not appear relevant.

Re: Unable to detect Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse

Windows "fast start" (not hibernation per se - it's just effectively the same) is *extremely* relevant in case the mouse is still paired there.
What if you remove the battery from the mouse, wait a couple of seconds and re-insert it?

Re: Unable to detect Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse

After removing & reinserting the battery the mouse still does not detect. For clarity, I am just running bluetoothctl and waiting for it to appear.
I have made sure that fast start is off on my windows partition, and can mount it just fine.

There's an interesting amount of google hits for MS BT mice not showing up…
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1018298 … evice-list claims success for "hcitool lescan", https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Blueto … up_in_scan
