[solved] Encoding Problems

I am experiencing some problem with the font encoding. This is what I see if I open the gnome help:

missingcharachtershx5.th.jpg

it looks like I miss some fonts, but I have installed ttf-ms-fonts and others and tried displaing the help with every font. The result is the same. I even tried symlinking the adobe fonts in my /usr/share/font directory.

I have tried switching in my rc.conf the locale from UTF8 to ISO and vice-versa (and doing locale-gen again). But was useless...

My xorg configuration file seems ok as gnome actually finds the needed fonts and freetype is loaded...

[davide@hp-arch log]$ cat Xorg.0.log | grep freetype
(II) LoadModule: "freetype"
(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/fonts/libfreetype.so
(II) Module freetype: vendor="X.Org Foundation & the After X-TT Project"

I think that I am missing something stupid...

Re: [solved] Encoding Problems

I solved this problem, but I don't know how!  big_smile

It seems that everithing is fixed since I installed fluxbox. But maybe it could be related to some upgrading...
