Corrupt Package Problems? Not any more!!

If you try to install or upgrade your system, and pacman stops, and says something like this:

checking package integrity...
error: archive openoffice-base-2.0.4-1.pkg.tar.gz is corrupted

Do this:
rm /var/cache/pacman/pkg/openoffice-base-2.0.4-1.pkg.tar.gz

Then reinstall it with pacman -S openoffice-base     big_smile

(This is one way of cleaning the cache.)

Enjoy.

Trying a different mirror helps sometimes as well.
