LO Writer, MATE : window on every workspace

Version: 7.3.0.3 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 30(Build:3)
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.16; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (C); UI: en-US
7.3.0-5
Calc: threaded

I have multiple workspaces in MATE and although I have "Only on this workspace" checked on the window frame, the window appears on every workspace so that alt-tab will always dump me into the original workspace.

This is not happening with other applications.

I cannot downgrade LibreOffice

:> sudo downgrade libreoffice
Unable to downgrade libreoffice

Re: LO Writer, MATE : window on every workspace

Wayland or X11?
In case of X11:

xprop _NET_WM_STATE

andf click the offending window.

X11.

What am I to do with the information displayed when I click?

I discovered that the issue appears when I open a ls of windows using xargs. If I use the same list in a for all is well.

Looks at it - particularily whether it says  "_NET_WM_STATE_STICKY"

I discovered that…

Do you get only one window in either case?
