[SOLVED] Laptop is suspending / sleeping when my lid is closed on i3

Hi,

I've recently switched to using i3 as my WM instead of KDE. My laptop has always had issues on Linux with sleeping and suspending where it will just refuse to turn back on, and in the case of Arch Linux will just cause a reboot. Now for some reason, even though i3 doesn't do this by default, the same effect is happening when I close my lid. In KDE I set the closing lid options to just lock my computer instead of making it sleep / suspend, but that's not as easy of an option using i3. I've also checked my systemd config files and the line that would cause my laptop to sleep or suspend is commented out.

You'll have to restart the logind.service after editing the file.
