For the past few days watching Youtube videos on Firefox has become impossible; continuous freezes and even crashes. From the "journal" I get an incredible number of messages but I am not able to interpret them. There are also systemd-coredump. I suspect it all started with the last QT update, but I've tried clearing the KDE cache and rebuilding "kbuildsycoca5" but no improvement. Enabling/disabling hardware acceleration on Firefox is useless. I use X11 but it's the same with Wayland too.
With Chromium's appimage it works fine.
I leave the journalctl link if you can help to find the cause of the problem.

Looks like RDD is crashing, might be a bug in Firefox, try Googling RDD crashing Firefox. I don't know much about it.
In the meantime you could try a Firefox-based browser like Firedragon (AUR), see if you have similar issues, otherwise use a Chromium based browser as an alternative

Thanks; following your suggestion I solved it by setting the option to "false":
media.rdd-ffmpeg.enabledI guess that way I lose hardware acceleration; but never mind.
