Blender window is visible only when it is launched in terminal

I am using blender 3.1.0 and found something strange.
blender does not show anything but black window when it is launched through desktop menu.
But, I can have visible and interactive window when it is launched in terminal.

I downgraded blender to 3.0.1 but still the same behavior.

I am not sure there is something behind the scene when blender is launched through desktop menu?
