vmlinuz-linux not found but it does seem to be in /mnt/boot

Successfully installed the linux package with pacman (while chrooted).

ls /mnt/boot

shows vmlinuz-linux being there, but when I reboot it fails saying that it could not find the file. I have searched on the internet a bit and the people I have found have mostly mounted boot wrong and got the file in root, or the file was just not present at all. But in my case the file seems to be there in the correct place. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Which bootloader are you using and how is it configured? This can also happen if you had /boot mounted to another drive but now installed the linux package without that mount point present but your bootloader configured to load a different binary.

Ok stupid mistake. I am using systemd-boot. apparently I had a typo in the initrd item in the entry. It is fixed now. It took me like an hour to realize this somehow.
