Hi
I just installed on a new machine archlinux and i wonder how can I set up to have 2 layouts in tty.
I want to set up spanish as my second keyboard because i want to write a thesis in spanish but still i want to keep my normal keyboard us layout because i am use to it when i write code.
I read all stuff on the wiki regarding locale and systemd-vconsole-setup service but is too confusing. I dont want to change the locale in spanish.
Thanks in advance.

The part on how to setup 2 languages (KEYMAP_TOGGLE) is not explained well. Or how to setup with systemd-vconsole-setup. The rest of the wiki is very well structured and i didn't need any forum, IRC help. I usually read and do things not askin on forums but now i am really stuck.
Because KEYMAP_TOGGLE is BS to begin with - it doesn't toggle anything, but allows a second layout to augment the first one.

This will not work w/ es since it doesn't have a specialized keymap for left-ctrl + something,
You'd loadkeys es/us around "write a thesis"

Thanks I understand now what is the idea with keymap toggle. Thanks you can close the topic.
Mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
