xpad kernel module error on lts update

while updating linux-lts, I received an error I'm not familiar with.

could not get file information for usr/lib/modules/5.15.29-1-lts/kernel/drivers/input/joystick/xpad.ko.zst

before booting into the updated kernel, I'm trying to resolve it as this is my gaming machine. any suggestions?

That usually means the file was deleted for some reason.

I have the xpadneo-dkms package installed.

I re-installed it (to run the dkms) and have no errors for either linux or linux-lts

should a reboot be safe now?

It was always safe to reboot. Worst case scenerio would be that xpad wouldn't work, and that's easily fixable after reboot.
