no updates in packagekit

Yet another infurating problem that dosen't make any sense
running pkcon get-updates yields that there are no updates (using pacman there are updates)
running pkcon enable-repo says that enable-repo is not supported ??
gnome software shows that there are no updates (for pacman) available, when there clearly are
but browsing gnome software and installing stuff that's part of the arch repos works fine.
I am using gnome 42 (fcgu repo), but package kit is the thing that's not working, so I don't think that has anything to do with it

Re: no updates in packagekit

sudo pacman -Sy --dbpath /var/lib/PackageKit/alpm/

Yeah, that was about the most stupid thing that you could have done. Packagekit isn't working, so rather than use your actual package manager, you try to break it as well. golf clap

You should put on your reading glasses before calling other people stupid.
