[SOLVED] gdm does not list all users

Since last week, after every "pacman -Syu" I run checkservices from archlinux-contrib, as suggested in the wiki. Yesterday I upgraded gnome-desktop, gnome-shell and gnome-user-docs (among other packages) and I'm pretty sure that when running checkservices it prompted me to restart gdm.service (among other services) beacuse of some broken maps files. I agreed and it logged me out, showing the display manager. However there wasn't any list of users and I was prompted to enter my user name, even pressing esc didn't bring me to a list of users. I logged in by entering my username and password but after rebooting my user wasn't listed, and I had to enter my username to be able to login. Today I tried restarting gdm.service after boot after logging in as root through tty, I then rebooted the PC and logged in as another person's user (let's call it user0), waited a couple of minutes then rebooted the PC. This time gdm showed a list containing only user0, so I logged in with my user by manually entering my username and password but after a reboot it still didn't appear in the list. I tried this with all 4 users of the PC and only user0 is displayed in gdm's list. When logging in and then switching user without logging out, the previous user is displayed in gdm's list, and with this method I can get all users to be displayed in gdm's list at the same time, but all users except user0 disappear after rebooting.

Note that all 4 actual users were created with systemd-homed. When I first installed GNOME no users were listed in gdm, but after logging in with each of them they all became listed by gdm permanently, even after reboots. /etc/passwd doesn't list any of the users created with systemd-homed.

This should help, just flip it so that you are ensuring it's enabled rather than disabled

Thanks, it worked. There was already a file for user0 but not for others.
