After updating, I can only see a black screen [SOLVED]

After doing a fully system update

sudo pacman -Syu

and rebooting I no longer get any display output from the X server.
This started ~1 month ago, and I have tried various fixes from the wiki on black screens with Nvidia cards. I haven't been able to find any solutions on the forums yet.
My GPU is a Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070, running the nvidia drivers.

Remove the xorg.conf, try booting/starting xorg again.

It set up a static xorg setup and in the meantime the identifier of your actual screen changed for some reason and thus the static conf fails to properly load

Deleting /etc/X11/xorg.conf as suggested fixed the issue, and some other small issues as well. Thank you!
