Until a few days ago auto-unlocking the Login keyring was done via pam as noted in the arch wiki.
DE is cinnamon
The password of the keyring is the same as the user's password.
Searching for "the login keyring did not get unlocked when you logged into your computer" leads to a reddit post from 4 days ago without resolution.
I posted in arch discord and got no response.
I'm using sddm and the default autologin DE is, as previously stated, cinnamon.
Something changed, does anyone know what did?
I have removed the password from the login keyring, but that is effectively a bad idea.
Whatever the change was is a regression that leads to drastically increased insecurity or annoying the user.
Does anyone know what the change was or why this is happeneing all of a sudden?
Does anyone maybe have a secure remedy to that problem?

You might consider looking at your pacman logs to see what changes have been applied to your system over the last few days. It is certainly a smaller subset of everything that has changed and will help narrow down the search.
