Bad error because of the new QT package

Hi!

I installed the new qt package and wanted to update some packages from AUR after that. Unfortunately after starting the build it stops during configuration with the following message:

checking for KDE... libraries /opt/kde/lib, headers /opt/kde/include
checking if UIC has KDE plugins available... no
configure: error:
you need to install kdelibs first.

If you did install kdelibs, then the Qt version that is picked up by
this configure is not the same version you used to compile kdelibs.
The Qt Plugin installed by kdelibs is *ONLY* loadable if it is the
_same Qt version_, compiled with the _same compiler_ and the same Qt
configuration settings.

Maybe the maintainer can rebuild the kdelibs so compiling apps for KDE will be possible again.

Re: Bad error because of the new QT package

If you really use arch64 I suggest downgrading the old qt package from a not yet synchronized mirror.

There are not many devs for arch64 and I think that compiling the whole kdelibs takes some time.

I personnaly downgraded it because I can't wait to listen some music with my amarock  wink

Re: Bad error because of the new QT package

I already wanted to compile kdelibs myselve using the PKGBUILD available in ABS. But to my surprise it stopped with an error, so it's impossible for me to compile it....

I'm wondering about that, since I always thought that everything from ABS will work, because the developers build the packages using the exact same PKGBUILDs.....

Anyway, I may downgrade again, when I found a server still having the old package...  sad

Re: Bad error because of the new QT package

I posted about this in the Pacman forum, but no one responded. I need the old QT library. Can someone please post a link to the files so I can un-break my system?

Take a look at http://www.archlinux.de/~pierre/packages/x86_64/ (you use Arch64, don`t you?)

qt 3.3.7 is the same as 3.3.6-4

Re: Bad error because of the new QT package

kdelibs and kdeartwork needs a rebuild, and will be in the repo soon to fix this for x86_64. all custom kdestyle need a rebuild too.
