Audio not working

I just installed KDE, ALSA
When I log in as a regular user in kde I get the message:

Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device: default can't be opened for playback (No such device)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.
=====================================
and the audio is not working.

This does not happen when I log in as root. As root everything is fine and the sound is working.

What is the problem?

put your user in the audio Group

gpasswd -a $user audio

and in next time read the wiki
