[SOLVED] nm-applet and IM icon missing on the xfce4 panel

nm-applet and IM icon  disappeared for a long time on the xfce4 panel.

Although network and the fcitx works well, I can not change the wireless AP and input method by clicking the icon on the panel.

I tried to restart the nm-applet manually, but the icon does not come back.

Check if you have the status tray plug added to the panel

Hi,

Perhaps not related, but I had the same problem.  It turned out that the icon changed to very light, very small square that blended into the panel background color.

Fussing with the panel background color made it stand out again.

Check if you have the status tray plug added to the panel

The icon restored after the status tray is added.
