[SOLVED] Just another arch noob trying to get audio to work

Hello!  Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.

I couldn't get things to work on pulseaudio so I figured I'd try pipewire but still no luck.  I installed pipewire and pipewire-pulse, tried both pipewire-media-session and wireplumber, added my user to the audio group, and un-muted the master volume with alsamixer.

What's odd is when I click on the volume icon in my panel, the bar is bouncing indicating that it's picking up on the audio.  Same with alsamixer, the bars are bounding and everything looks good but still no audio.

I've spent 4 days working on this and would really love some help.

Audio is bouncing:

alsamixer is un-muted and is set to pipewire:

Here's some more info, please let me know if there's anything else you'd like to see:

Why did you do this?

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

In usual fashion, I solved this problem 5 mins after posting haha.  Just had to do sudo pacman -S sof-firmware and reboot (:

Great, please mark it as such by adding [SOLVED] to the title in your first post.
