[SOLVED] Gnome 42: Cannot start control-center

I'm unable to start the "Settings" application in Gnome 42.

> gnome-control-center
gnome-control-center: symbol lookup error: gnome-control-center: undefined symbol: adw_enum_list_item_get_type, version LIBADWAITA_1_0

Anyone else with that issue?
How can this be resolved?
Also my applications start very slow since Gnome's latest update...

Same here (under JWM):

$ gnome-calculator
gnome-calculator: symbol lookup error: gnome-calculator: undefined symbol: adw_style_manager_get_dark, version LIBADWAITA_1_0

I think the slow start may be a DBUS timeout issue? Nautilus, gedit, and the GNOME terminal still start fine for me on the other hand.

And you've not previously installed libadwaita-git? I had for some ancient prior libadwaita issue and it had the symptom described. Removing it / installing libadwaita fixed it.

Thanks @stronnag, libadwaita-git was indeed the problem.
