Relatively new arch user here and I wanted tot make sure my focusrite scarlett solo gen 3 works properly before switching to arch on my desktop.
I'm using pulse with alsa and have the integrated sound card of my laptop disabled.
I followed the following video to get the correct settings in alsamixer, and those are showing up fine.

Only problem is that the sound quality is absolutely awful, it's quite impressive, I either get low-fi base and super washed out highs and mids, or the exact opposite.
I'm not quite sure where to start as it seems like it supposed to be pretty much plug and play for most people.
Turns out I'm an idiot and it was physical connectivity issue.
