Hi fellow Arch users!
I use my ThinkPad docked (with external monitor) and the lid being closed most of the time. But occasionally login and logout causes the system to suspend.
HandleLidSwitchDocked is set to ignore, which prevents suspend when the lid is closed. But during login/logout the lid is not touched, so I guess
it may relate to GDM and gnome-session.
Anybody having similar issues? I found some Ubuntu bugs (like [1]), but without any solution.
Thanks

I wanted to ask the same question. I have an X230 and a T430, both of which go into suspend when closing the lid even when HandleLidSwitchDocked is set to ignore.

Same problem here. In 1 out of 5 cases the Thinkpad (T470) goes into suspend after login. DE is XFCE.
HandleLidSwitchDocked is set to ignore in /etc/systemd/logind.conf.
Perhaps it helps to use dockd? (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/ThinkPad_docks )
I will try it and report here.
