I triple boot arch, mac, and windows, and use arch for unity and schoolwork, but for the past two months I've been lazy with unity, and haven't really gotten much schoolwork either, so I haven't been using my arch install nearly as much, but it seems like the more I don't use it, the more "broken" it gets.
After about two weeks on non-use, booting into it, I instantly noticed that it was a lot slower than usual (boot times weren't affected, but application loading times were, especially with browsers), and unity completely locking up on occasion when running with prime (Probably best to note that: one, I use btrfs, and I tried defragging, to no avail, and two, I tried upgrading and restarting as well). And after a bit of searching, I found a post that suggested creating a new user, So I did that, and it seemed to work fine for the most part (apart from some weird menu entries in latte, and the issues with unity, and still could be really sluggish at times).
Queue another period of doing not much else apart from playing osu, and Today, for some reason I couldn't log into my router on windows, so I switched over to arch to see if it was just windows being weird again (which it was), and as soon as I logged in I noticed that the default plasma taskbar had returned and my background set to default. But everything else was fine, latte even still launched on-top of it.
