[SOLVED] KDE KMenuEdit saving problems

Hello guys,

Some days ago I did a fresh install of archlinux with kde.
Everything works as well as possible except KMenuEdit (5.24.4 version).
If I do some changes, everything seems ok in KMenuEdit but after saving nothing is updated in Kickoff.
If I close and restart KMenuEdit, the changes are preserved but never passed to Kickoff.
I tried without success to use the kbuildsycoca5 command, to delete the ~/.cache/ksycoca5_fr_xxx file and saving again, to restart kde and even reboot.
If I use kmenuedit from konsole there is no message but everytime I save the changes I get some errors in syslog :

kwin_x11[823]: qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 21443, resource id: 113246321, major code: 15 (QueryTree), minor code: 0
kwin_x11[823]: kwin_core: XCB error: 152 (BadDamage), sequence: 21525, resource id: 14756925, major code: 143 (DAMAGE), minor code: 3 (Subtract)

Any idea ?
Thanks for reading.

Re: [SOLVED] KDE KMenuEdit saving problems

It is not a bug it's a feature :  Kickoff don't show sub-categories roll
See here : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443742

You can wait an option to be implemented as explained in previous link.
Or you can use the not supported Legacy Kickoff menu : https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kickoff-legacy-git
