Firefox freezing

Having browsed the forum I learnt that most ppl experience sluggishness of firefox. It takes a long time to load but what I understand is the rendering time is still okay.

But I guess my case is even worse. Firefox doesn't take that much time to start but once it has started it often freezes for a several seconds when it is rendering the webpage (can't click, can't type, can't scroll, can't do anything). Even when I only use one tab! The same also happens to the original firefox (not from pacman -Sy), and the swiftfox. But Opera doesn't get this kind of problem. Sure I can just go with Opera but I am used to firefox and like it better. Fyi, this kind of problem doesn't happen in windows and other distro...

Anyone got the same problem? How do I solve this?

Thanks!

Re: Firefox freezing

I have the same problem.

Sometimes doing 'killall -9 esd' did fix it, but i think that flash9 fixed that problem.
