How to recover Arch (GRUB) after installing Windows

Alright so I did some stuff when setting up my dual boot system and now Windows broke. Though I've accidentally done this before as a big Linux newbie, I am going to install Windows and replace GRUB as the boot manager. What I want to do is repair my Windows installation which broke and the Windows install (repair) always makes the Windows Boot Manager the default one. What should I do after installing Windows to recover GRUB? Do I have to have an Arch live disk to Arch-chroot into my partition or something and recover GRUB? Do I have to backup GRUB prior to using the Windows USB?

It's basically just recovering GRUB as the default boot manager when I already have it set up but it's just not the default partition anymore, but I still know what partition GRUB is installed.
By the way, it's an EFI system.

EDIT: Yes, I'll backup!
