Gnome 42 Settings VPN (l2tp) not working

I have updated to Gnome 42 and i noticed that i am unable to use the VPN settings for l2tp connections. I found this issue https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-co … ssues/1710 that is pretty much the same just for openvpn. I am not really sure how all of this works but i believe the VPN settings plugins are maintained by different groups/authors and the openvpn one is under the gnome umbrella directly and it looks like its already fixed (its working here just fine). But the l2tp one is "still" broken and i am unsure where to report this exactly. I believe https://github.com/nm-l2tp/NetworkManager-l2tp could be the right direction but i fail to see any GTK code in the repo by skimming over it yeah i am an Idiot of course there is GTK code in it . IDK how those plugins are structured and how those influence the GUI but i am not quite sure if this is the right place. Does any one has insights what is happening and who could be interested in an error report? I guess it already happened. Gnome 42 is out for quite some time and although l2tp is not that popular anymore i can't image no one has noticed this yet so it would be cool if someone already knows an open issue that i could track.

Same problem. As workaround you could use:

extra/nm-connection-editor 1.26.0-1 [installed]
    NetworkManager GUI connection editor and widgets

networkmanager-l2tp must be recompiled with gtk4 support.
