Hello all,
I was setting up QEMU/KVM/libvirt and I was experimenting with storage pools in virt-manager.
My host machine is on volume group split into three logical volumes (root, home, swap). I assigned this main volume group as a storage pool, and now I can't remove it.
I tried destroying the pool with virsh but received the expected "Can't deactivate volume group "vg" with 3 open logical volume(s)". I get a similar error message for similar commands.
I don't want to destroy the volume groups (obviously, cataclysmic), but I don't want them as storage pools in libvirt.
Do I have to boot from live usb when these aren't mounted and somehow disable them? Or are there just some configuration files I can alter?

Did you ever find a way to do this? Libvirt storage pools are a headache and I don't need them. Just let me stick my VM's in folder and be done with it.
