moving from Deepin to KDE causes high cpu usage

I installed deepin to mess around with it, after i was done i removed deepin by running this command.

sudo pacman -Rsun deepin deepin-desktop-base deepin-wm deepin-extra lightdm

i re-enabled sddm and reinstalled kde just to be sure.

after getting back to KDE i noticed the cpu usage was much higher than it used to be, my entire system feels really laggy now.

my htop reported about 7 kwin processes eating my cpu.

I went to the arch wiki and read both the deepin and KDE articles, but none mentioned an issue with high cpu usage.

i found some posts on google from people reporting the same issue but most of them were running manjaro and were outdated.

I'm a bit lost, not even sure how to debug this, which logs can i check if any?

Re: moving from Deepin to KDE causes high cpu usage

-1) Is your System Amd or Intel
-2) do you use Nvidia cards
-3) type "sudo killall plasmashell" & "sudo killall kwin" without quotes on a TTY not the terminal in plasma then type sudo reboot.
-4) Does the issue persist if you Login to the other plasma desktop (There's X11 & Wayland options on the login screen pick whichever one you don't normally use)
-5)  Deepin is basically Gnome which is GTK if I'm not mistaken, so you would need to install qt qt5 qt6 powerdevil Plasma-Workspace, Xorg, Xorg-xinit, packagekit and packagekit-qt5
-6) try uninstalling sddm and try Ly or GDM, but make sure to use " sudo systemctl disable sddm.service -f" first, and then reboot, and see if that makes a difference.
-7) uninstall Kwin since there's alternatives.
-8) How much ram do you have and do you use swapfiles or swap partitions if it's less than 16.

Also officially you're right about not following other guides. Unofficially As long as it's Arch-Based (Garuda, ArchLabs, BlackArch, Manjaro, Endeavour, arco etc) and its a distro that uses Systemd, like the ones I just mentioned, you can kinda loosely follow any guide, The mods don't like people asking about "unsupported" packages and guides etc. but that's basically them saying if it breaks we're not responsible, sh I didn't say that lol.

Edit: I have a feeling something wasn't uninstalled completely, and is conflicting with the Plasmashell.
