Can't set custom resolution on CRT

xrandr --addmode DP-4 800x600_163.00
Error of failed request:  BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request:  140 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request:  18 (RRAddOutputMode)
Serial number of failed request:  45
Current serial number in output stream:  46

This is the error I get whenever I attempt to set my resolution to 800x600 at 163 hz - works fine on Windows. I'm able to use 1440x1080 at 97 hz fine, but for some reason this resolution specifically doesn't work. Might be a Nvidia thing? I have a 1080

Re: Can't set custom resolution on CRT

Adding a resolution through xorg, conf will add the 1440x1080 but not the 800x600

Re: Can't set custom resolution on CRT

The binary nvidia driver knows a bunch of "ModeValidation" options, check /usr/share/doc/nvidia/README
