[SOLVED] Very strange gnome scroll bar activity - jumps back to top

Hi All,

The scroll bar in some applications (virt-manager and gedit) jumps back to the origin (top and/or left). I can drag the scroll bar down to a location but upon releasing the mouse, the bar jumps back to the top or left. I've googled and come up with nothing similar.

Any ideas?

Seems to have been solved with a gtk3 upgrade.
