Hello people. First of all I'd like to apologise for asking this noob question - I am quite young and inexperienced in the grand scheme of things.
So I own a Lenovo laptop (not sure about the model) that came running Win 8 and over the years I have installed a bunch of random distros (e.g. kubuntu, mint, MX, debian, manjaro etc) all with no problems with the installation process. However, when I tried to partition the disks for arch, none of the suitable disks showed up. I will try to copy what it outputted when I ran 'fdisk -l'.
[
Disk /dev/sda: 465.76 GiB, 5001107862016 bytes, 976773168 sectors
Disk model: WDC WD5000LPCX-2
Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 4096 bytes
I/O size (minimal/optimal): 4096 bytes / 4096 bytes
Disklable type: gpt
Disk identifier: (way too long and I am not typing it)
Device Start End Sectors Size Type
/dev/sda1 2048 1050623 1048576 512M EFI system
/dev/sda2 1050624 976991071 975729448 465.3G Linux filesystem
Disk /dev/sdb: 7.5 GiB, 8053063680 bytes, 15728640 sectors
Disk model: Flash disk
Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 521 bytes
I/O size (minimal/optimal): 521 bytes / 521 bytes
Disklable type: dos
Disk identifier: 0xbff8ee56
Device boot Start End Sectors Size Type
/dev/sdb1 * 2048 1050623 1048576 512M EFI system
/dev/sdb2 1050624 976991071 975729448 465.3G Linux filesystem
Disk /devloop0:669.16 MiB, 8053063680 bytes, 701665280 sectors
Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 521 bytes
I/O size (minimal/optimal): 521 bytes / 521 bytes
]
And here is the output when I used lsblk on it:
[
NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINTS
loop0 7:0 0 669.2M 1 loop /run/archiso/airootfs
sda 8:0 0 465.8G 0 disk

(also copied by hand so may be some inaccuracies)
The computer's UEFI, and not in RAID if that helps. Thank you so much people and sorry again for bothering y'all

Please use [ code ] tags around the output. This will make it much easier to read.

This post is missing crucial information: what where you expecting to get?
Why is sda not a suitable disk? How many disks are there in your laptop?

Please mention what the issue was and what you did to fix it and then edit your iniital post, fix the code tags while you are at it for good style and mark the topic as [SOLVED] by editing the title in your first post.
