While I was going thru dmesg, I found this

I tried updating the Bios using FreeDos but failed because Hp does not support Bios update via FreeDos ![]()
Any workaround??
Any Hp user who have successfully updated their Bios via FreeDos, please help!!

Depends on your motherboard. For example, Gigabyte motherboards support Q-Flash, a flash utility that comes with the BIOS. It reads the new image from a USB drive.

fwupd supports a few HP system's. You did not provide details of the system so I do not know if yours is one of them. Also to note the new firmware may not fix the issue and may introduce new issues.
