I know its not really a problem if I solved it but..
The last time I used an exfat drive was about a week and a bit more ago. It used to auto-mount on my system.
But today, it didn't. I had to install exfat-utils for it to auto-mount. Did exfat-utils get dropped as a dependency of some package?
I searched through pacman.log but didn't find any evidence of exfat-utils ever being installed before I installed it today.
I use Gnome as my DE.

I just did a reboot, and it started auto-mounting again. Like... I swear, every other drive that was not exFAT did auto-mount. I have no idea what was wrong, other than that an effing reboot solved it.

You may have loaded most filesystem drivers and usb already, but not exfat. Then you performed a kernel upgrade. After that you can still mount everything except exfat, a reboot fixes it.
By the way, have you remoaved exfat-utils (the fuse filesystem for exfat) again?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I removed it.
