Fingerprint device not listed

I am trying to utilize the fingerprint scanner that I have on my laptop for login/authentication purposes. But when I run `lsusb`, I can't find the scanner listed there. I am able to use the fingerprint scanner on my Windows install. I have also installed `fprint` and `fprintd-enroll` gives the following error: `Impossible to enroll: GDBus.Error:net.reactivated.Fprint.Error.NoSuchDevice: No devices available`.
