Hi everyone!
I'm using arch in different pieces of hardware for a couple years now, and recently I had the need to use my desktop for work (used just to mine some 3060's in windows when we had the driver mining-limitation for linux).
I'm currently running:
i9-9900k
gigabyte z390-aorus elite
16gb ddr4 2400mhz crucial ballistix sport (2x8gb)
nvme corsair 500gb (windows 11 for gaming)
nvme kingston a1000 500gb (arch for work and main system)
psu TM650w corsair
and the gpus:
1x AMD 6700xt strix (connected to slot 1 pci-e x16)
3x 3060 gainward ghost (connected each to 1x riser on pci's -> PCIEX1_1, PCIEX1_3 and PCIEX1_4)
the 3x 3060 are plugged to an external PSU (corsair ax1200i)
I can boot ok with only the AMD connected and had success booting the 3x 3060 with the amd before installing nvidia drivers.
I can't boot when I have nvidia driver (510.xx) + amd + nvidia boards connected.
My boot gets stuck at "Starting System Journal Service", which fails and goes on a loop trying to start the journal service again.
It never reaches gdm (I'm running gnome with gdm on xorg). I can't access tty at this point. I can login with nvidia driver installed if no 3060 boards are connected.
PS: I can mine totally fine on windows 11 with the 3x 3060 while gaming with the amd.
PS2: I tried nvidia, but currently I'm trying with nvidia-dkms
Anyone have any direction on how can I fix this? My objective is to be able to mine while working (even if only the nvidia boards).
If I can provide any more information, please just let me know how to.
Thanks in advance!
ps: love arch, don't want to work on a VM or other distros <3
