Hey, guys. Been using Arch for a couple of months. I've used other distros before, but I'm still pretty noob with commands. I like how smoothly things are running so far. Not sure I'll delve into the depths of Linux. I'm just an average computer user, but it's good to have some degree of control over what goes on on my computer and to have a safer and quicker OS

I decided to install Arch today since I had some problems with Manjaro and wanted to use the real deal.
There were some hiccups here and there but generally it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
Hopefully I get to learn and interact more from the community here, and possibly contribute in the future.

Lol when I first installed arch in my virtualbox I failed like 16 times and because I was completely ignoring the archwiki and I was following some outdated youtube tutorials. If u are a arch user or use other arch distributions you should always read the archwiki. Arch is really not that hard the only thing you need is time and patience. Many people don't have the time and patience to read archwiki :\ and so they think arch is very hard.

Many people have the time to do it wrong and start over 16 times. In a sense, Archlinux saved my skills, because I was already hooked on "read the wiki" before everything became "watch this video". I sometimes do watch a video, but that's usually when I really have no clue what's going on and would otherwise ask someone to tell me about it.

Arch made me a much better Linux user by forcing me to figure things out. Almost 4 years later I have my own installer. I can rebuild my Arch Linux on OpenZFS system in less than 30 minutes.

As a long term Linux user I know my way around.

In the past I used a pretty large amount of different Linux distributions and made my way to Arch Linux now.

Hey people, used to be a sadmin (it's like a sysadmin but you're an alcoholic) for mostly redhat/centos. Been using linux a long time, ever since I was a teenager and couldn't afford a windows license haha.

Using arch on my laptop for ~10 years with various levels of attention to it. Came over from debian after getting sick of nothing new ever working.

Every time I set up a new computer I find I have less and less patience for software in general, so the thing that has kept me on arch is how there's very little on a system you didn't put there but it's still pretty easy to get everything working.

That said I still don't understand systemd (don't @ me ok I used init.d for longer than some of you have been alive).

I've been using Arch for almost a year now.

I started with Manjaro last fall, and then my system bricked so I installed Arch.

I also started using Arch solely on my laptop too starting this winter, and I used it for all my school projects this spring.

I've been using Sway as my window manager, but I also recently installed GNOME to try it out.
