I just reinstalled arch in my laptop. I've followed the uefi install page for grub exactly. When I run efibootmgr grub is listed. When i reboot, it does not show in the uefi menu, and it's no longer in efibootmgr.
The only weird thing about this install is that during partitioning, when coosing my partitions, it said that there was already linux filesystem on one, already efi on one, already swap on one. This might be because i deleted the partitions at the same time as i made the new ones, don't know.
Can anyone help me here?
Edit: this was written on mobile, sorry for typos

What actual laptop/mainboard vendor/model? Some systems refuse custom NVRAM entries and you either need to find a setting in your UEFI to manually whitelist GRUB and/or rerun the grub-install command with the --removable flag added to populate the fallback path a UEFI implementation is required to boot.

I have a samsung galaxybook pro. I'll try the --removable flag when I get home. I may actually have used it when I installed arch the first time.
thanks

--removable worked. Thank you!
