Hi Arch enthusiasts,
COSCUP 2022 in Taiwan (with an Arch Linux track) is now open for submissions!
COSCUP is one of the largest FOSS conference in Taiwan, and Arch Linux Taiwan Community organizes a track at COSCUP every other year.
The submission deadline for COSCUP 2022 is on May 23 (Mon). Details about submissions to the Arch Linux and other tracks are available at https://blog.coscup.org/2022/04/coscup- … .html#arch.
Arch Linux Taiwan & Archers @ COSCUP 2018 prepared nice gifts, like mugs and stickers, for Archers. See https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ … x8iHoCk2tK.
To encourage submissions as well as celebrate 20th anniversary and Arch-based SteamOS 3.0, Arch Linux Taiwan community will prepare
more fascinating gifts this year! Non-accepted submitters also have small nice gifts!
Welcome to join us!

Hi,
This looks interesting to me. Does applying for a talk automatically register for the conference? Is there a fee to be paid for entry tickets? This information seems to be missing (at least in English).
Mods are just community members who have the occasionally necessary option to move threads around and edit posts. -- Trilby

Yeah information for 2022 is still sparse. Usually more information will be out in May or June. For now I check information from previous years as a reference. Recently, registration rules are different every year, though:
* In 2021, the conference is completely virtual: https://blog.coscup.org/2021/06/coscup- … ll-be.html. I remember registration is not needed but I can't find an official statement.
* In 2020, registration for the conference is not needed. Open source contributors can apply for "OSCVPass" for extra bonus: https://blog.coscup.org/2020/07/oscvpass.html
* In 2019, registration is required, and there are reserved tickets for open source contributors: https://blog.coscup.org/2019/01/coscup- … utors.html. Registration is free (with optional donation) for both contributors and non-contributors: https://coscup2019.kktix.cc/events/coscup2019regist.
* I also attended COSCUP 2015, 2016, 2018 and I remember rules are similar to those for 2019.
In my memory, If registration is needed, speakers also need to register.
