Hi,
Before an update to the system (pacman -Suy) all the windows has been configured with dark mode.
After I've updated today the system only windows such as gnome-terminal are with dark mode, but things like appearance application and firefox are no longer applied with dark mode.
tried to check configurations with gnome tweaks, seeing that only legacy-applications at appearance can be configured to dark (Adwaita-dark), but this option is the one apply dark mode on gnome-terminal.
when going into Settings->appearance, trying to switch between Light and Dark but it is only changes the desktop background to darker one, most of my windows stays bright...
any suggestion? are there specific files in home directory that worth editing/deleting to fix such thing?

Can it be related to the switch to Gnome 42, where GTK4 applications (with libadwaita) are not styled by Tweak (in fact, now you have legacy-applications, for GTK3 applications). For GTK4 applications you have to set dark with the Appearance settings.
How long haven't you updated the system?

Probably it is related to gnome 42. last time updated maybe 1 month ago.
And as I said, tried to set dark with the Appearance settings, but nothing really changed.

BTW, tried to create a new user and check if system-wide dark mode is working but no success, so I guess it isn't some configuration issue in my home directory.

OK, looks like "xdg-desktop-portal-gnome" package solves it.
installed it, logged off then logged on again and now switching between light and dark mode applies.

When switching to dark mode in Settings -> Appearance, does Nautilus switch to dark? That is a GTK4 application so it should switch. So should Calculator and Calendar.
