Newest NVidia driver for Kepler is suboptimal

As an owner of a Kepler card (GTX 650), i must use slightly older (up tp 470) driver releases.
I recently updated my driver (`nvidia-470xx-dkms`) from 470.94 to 470.129.06, and ever since i've had horrid issues with everything crashing every so often.

After looking at the `dmesg` logs, localizing the errors generated by NVRM, i see code 32: Invalid or corrupted push buffer stream and code 69: Graphics Engine class error which are both XID Failure Causes: Driver Error.
The errors, according to NVidia's XID error codes, are completely driver-sided.

I would have rolled back but the only issue is that i seemingly cannot get any version but the latest to install / compile.
I've tried to reinstall them (`yay -G nvidia-470xx-utils`) and checking out to the 470.94 version (`git checkout && git fetch 0eacff0017388b2fdd942488c51a4187d4fe2635 && makepkg -si`) and when running it, it fails when installing the dkms module, mentioning that something has failed in the `make.log` (https://0x0.st/oBZp.txt)

What could i do to downgrade my drivers or alternatively fix those very peculiar crashes ? (i did try earlier versions (470.74) but i had problems about `#include <stddef.h>` failing ?)
