What happened to the "gcc-d" package?

I didn't knew where to post this as it is not a technical issue but rather a question. In the end, I thought about posting it here.

My question is, does anyone know what happened to the "gcc-d" package? Thankfully, I don't personally need so it's not an immediate problem.
However, I would still like to know what happened and why it's not present in the repos anymore.
