Running my daily updates using paru as AUR helper, I noticed:
:: packages not in the AUR: ttf-windows
Also shown in package stats (-Ps):

paru v1.10.0 - libalpm v13.0.1

Total installed packages: 1124
Aur packages: 17

:: packages not in the AUR: ttf-windows
But I needed this package to properly render documents with these Windows fonts. Now... How do I know what happened to the package in AUR? This is a generic question, not really specific to ttf-windows at all.
It's gone, while I would have hoped for a listing that mentions the reason for removal, a suggested possible replacement, or at least a confirmation of its prior existence. Is there a mailing list or some other authoritative way to check what happened to the package?
Should I install a replacement like ttf-ms-win11?

Thank you!
The request was filed back in April but just became effective today (June) apparently, but no reply/confirmation about that.
(Also had a look at aur-dev and aur-general.)
I guess this is leaving something to wish for, but OK, it's AUR after all, I guess.
Update; the ttf-ms-win11-auto package was the replacement I was looking for.
