specify gpu vbios file from kernel command line?

I have a slightly modded gpu vbios file (for an old amd gpu) that I would like to use (instead of the rom from the actual gpu). Is there a kernel command line option, or maybe some amdgpu module option that can specify the vbios file.

I did not want to flash the the vbios to the gpu because the flasher seems to be kind of buggy and I don't want to risk bricking it.

Thank you

Instead of posting on the newbie forum, should I have posted this question to kernel & hardware forum?

It probably makes no difference.  I can move it if you like

YOu'd probably have to patch amdgpu, see eg. https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188301#c15 for a related patch.

Thank you, @seth. I'll look through and see if I can adapt the patch.

No need to move it, @ewaller. I'll work with the above suggestion and see if I can patch amdgpu myself.
