Is it possible to boot current Arch with kernel 2.4?
If yes - do I need to compile it myself or could you point me to the package?

I'm afraid it wouldn't work with current glibc.

Shit, so now I need to install one more distro near arch.

What do you need 2.4 for?

Debian still offer 2.4 support. I think Slackware does as well. Gentoo (if your machine can take all the compiling) also supports 2.4.

2.4 is still default for Slackware, actually.

Slack may be your best bet actually, I was looking around the Debian Etch repo, and didn't see any sign of a 2.4 kernel. Maybe they are dropping 2.4 support once Sarge is replaced.
