Failed to umount oldroot

This happened after I run pacman -Syu to update yesterday: when I shutdown the computer, the speaker make a "beep--" noise, then as usual the screen goes black, except it says:

where the messages from "Broadcast ..." to the end is the new messages compare to usual time
Btw, I am using kde, and this never happened before.

UPDATE:
Seems to be the nvidia gpu and systemd issue, since I just had the systemd updated right before this issue occurred.
