Hello, I just received this laptop, and it comes with Windows 10 preinstalled. I didn't let it even boot, and I installed Arch immediately,
This laptop is being sold only in Czechia and Slovakia, so it doesn't have much Linux users. Laptop works completaly fine under Windows completely.

WiFi doesn't work, NetworkManager doesn't show anything, but BlueZ WiFi works just fine.
Unfortunentely, nobody knows what's in this machine, and I'm not able to get in contact with manufacturer. Unfortunentely, I already uninstalled Windows, so I can't look in device manager.
As for audio:
· [adam@study ~]$ sudo dmesg | grep firmware

Thank you for any help.

· [adam@study ~]$ sudo dmesg | grep -iE 'snd|sof'
Some message there said that sof-bin is missing, so I installed it. Now I've got an improvement.

Got WiFi working! Found right drivers!
· [adam@study ~]$ git clone https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723du.git
cd rtl8723du/
make all
sudo make install
Then you have to set kernel flag "ant_sel=1", otherwise the internet will be unusable.
Now, the next thing, I was able to get atleast drivers, that are for Windows, maybe it might help.

Hi Adam,
any success with audio? I bought the same machine but I'm not able to make the sound work...
Also: when on AC power I can hear bzzzzz sound, mostly when reading/writing data to the "disk", does your umax has the same problem? Thinking of giving it back to the shop.
