Syncthing: Weird font problem in Brave

I have this weird font problem for Syncthing in the Brave browser. However, it looks fine in the Gnome Web browser.

Not sure what's causing this. Any ideas?

Look like some fonts are missing. Did you install any additional fonts after you installed Arch?

It looks like the emoji font contains numbers and brave looks for the symbols first in the emoji font and then in the normal font.
Did you perhaps add some fontconfig rules that prepend emoji to the fonts?

Re: Syncthing: Weird font problem in Brave

I'm not sure offhand how Brave's font substitution mechanisms are different from GNOME Web's, but you should be able to determine what font is being requested and what font is being used instead by right clicking on the numbers  > inspect ; then in the dev tools look at the "computed" tab, and compare the "font-famiy" css rule with "rendered fonts" at the bottom.

Re: Syncthing: Weird font problem in Brave

Bit of a late reply, but I just found out I had to set up the fonts for Brave. It was set to "custom" which isn't a font.
