That's too strange for software, there seems to be a problem with the net driver.
In archlinux, net drivers and graphics drivers tend to lose performance when compiled (in the case of GPU drivers, the kernel misunderstands and the CPU handles it instead).
I can clearly feel this when playing multiple high games.
I have called the developer several times and they never responded.
It has been going bad in my environment since 5.17.8-arch1.
Maybe it is even older.

Well yes, it actually was that...
When removing the widget, the process had apparently not died and kept on going in the bg so cpu usage didn't drop at first, but going out and killing it made it drop to 15%.
Such high usages however, aren't reported on the widget's reviews, so I wonder if it was a personal issue.
